Absolutely beautiful beach, lake and picnic area. Very clean showers and restrooms. Hard sand bottom lake and very helpful and kind staff, but the amount of goose poop in the picnic and swim area was unbearable and unhealthy.
Nothing fancy just a nice campground
While on a cross country bicycle trip with my girlfriend we crossed into South Dakota and quickly arrived at Lake Cochrane rec area. We found that the campground was sold out (this was a Saturday), but were fortunate enough to have the campground hosts Dennis and Kathy invite us to set up our tent on their site. The shower house and bathrooms were well maintained and the swimming area was clean. It was a great place to rest and meet new friends.
